a bit about us

Over the last 20 years we have encountered many organisations who view wellbeing as a nice-to-have, disconnected from the bottom line.

Time and again our work has demonstrated that in fact individual wellbeing and organisational success go hand-in-hand. When people feel good they produce their best work and create cultures that people want to be a part of.

We founded Thriving People to enable individuals, teams and organisations perform at their best by taking a human-centric approach and offering hands-on support when and where you need it most.

From start-ups to multinationals, our approach combines psychology and technology to enable accessible, scalable solutions for all.

About our founders

Simon Kenwright

Simon is passionate about helping people to feel happier, more engaged and more fulfilled at work. Through his work he empowers leaders and managers to create successful teams and organisations that people want to be a part of.

The catalyst for this mission came from his first job, in 1996, ironically in the most depressing office environment imaginable. The chronically disengaged and unmotivated workforce helped him to see how much untapped potential people have, and how much more they deserve from their working lives.

Over the following 25 years he has applied a blend of curious inquiry, psychological understanding and broad industry experience to help thousands of leaders and managers make work a more positive experience for everyone. By enabling people to lead with greater self- and interpersonal-awareness he has transformed engagement, wellbeing and performance at organisations such as Credit Suisse, Coca-Cola and Open Society Foundations.

Via coaching, group facilitation and consultancy, his approach recognises the fears that hold us back, and that it’s by overcoming those fears and choosing to lead from love that liberates us to be at our best. Whether he’s working in the space of management/leadership development, wellbeing or career development he brings a unique energy and compassion to help clients achieve their goals.

A conviction that organisations thrive when everyone feels valued, engaged and inspired at work continues to drive him today, and the reason for co-creating Thriving People.

andy hix

Andy helps people overcome stress, anxiety and burnout so that they can feel empowered, joyful and liberated.

At university, he became obsessed with saving the world from climate change, but after the failure of the 2009 climate negotiations he became disillusioned with activism.

Years later, he discovered meditation and realised that the best way to change the world was by changing himself.

He went from being anxious, distracted and disconnected from his emotions to feeling much more calm, relaxed and happy. His passion comes from sharing what has helped him in a way that’s easily accessible to others.

He is continually working to deepen his practice through courses, coaching, retreats, reading, podcasts, yoga and meditation.

Integrity is central to his work and life, and he only teaches practices that he uses himself.

The beliefs that shape his work are:

  1. There is innate goodness in everyone.

  2. Everyone can change, if they really want to.

  3. Self-love is the greatest healer.

His proudest achievement is turning his passion into a business, which allows him to have a positive impact on people’s lives, every day.
